Resolutions

So story of my whole entire life...I always intend to write/blog/ journal...more often. Then, I don't. This year probably wont be any different, but now i have a reason to blog. This is for you Cece ; ) I know i won't be able to blog as often as i would like, or as perfectly as i would like, but i AM going to do it dang it! Even if its a two liner once a month, im really going to try.

Today our church finally switched to 9am which is exciting for us since it is no longer right in the middle of nap time. So we are actually going to go now. So this morning i told Eisley that she was going to go to nursery and meet some new friends. To this she asked, "some new ones, not broken ones?" Oh man.....i could probably create a whole blog just on the cute things that she says.

I also resolve to exercise more (typical resolution i know). I at least need to get my abs stronger because today i was picking up Eisley and completely threw out my back. I am such an old woman. I better start working out before i bust a hip or something.

I haven't posted for a while....but Eisley did the cutest thing today that i had to blog about it. Eisley is getting so energetic these days, and sometimes refuses to take her morning nap...which is what happened today. We went grocery shopping, and when we came home she was bouncing off the walls! Talking, running around, it was wearing me out just watching her! I put her in her chair and fed her lunch. When she is done eating she always lets me know and doesn't like sitting in her chair for too long. I was looking at my phone and i was thinking "ok i will just wait until Eisley lets me know that she is done...and then i got really quiet............I look over and she had fallen asleep! She never does that, it was so funny. Her head kept bobbing around. I wish i would have gotten it on video, but i did snap some pictures.

We finally went on a vacation! If you can call it that.....it was really quick but good to get away. It was good to see my mom and brother. My sister and her kids were also there because she ran the St. George marathon. We drove at night so that Eisley slept in the car which was good. I miss my mom! I enjoyed her yummy cooking! It was good to spend some time with my family : )

So Eisley is now 6 1/2 months old. We just went to her doctor appointment and she weighs 15.76 lbs and is slightly underweight in the 36th percentile, but the doctor is not worried because she is healthy and growing just fine. She is in the 64% for height, and 84% for head size! She is now eating solid foods and loves it! She is becoming more and more social, and her little personality is just getting so cute! She loves to scream (happy screams) rather than talk, and her favorite thing is grabbing at peoples faces. She can roll over both ways, and can't quite sit up yet. Im am getting nervous for when she learns to crawl because she will be into everything! She is so curious about everything, I can't get anything done while holding her because she has to grab at everything....she just sees what she wants and dives for it so i have to be very careful while holding her. I love that life is more predictable with her so we are getting out and doing a lot more....finally! I swear every day she gets cuter and cuter, and sometimes Chris and I can't believe she is our daughter! We are soooooo lucky!

This is another late post......we didn't do anything too exciting just bbq'd with the in laws. Eisley looked so cute in her dress that grandma Adams gave her.

1st Fathers Day!

I know this is a late post but i wanted to document this momentous day! Eisley and I got Chris a cute onsie that says i heart dad, a book about faterhood ( I saw the author on the today show and it looked good), and cute framed pictures of Eisley for Chris to take to work. I planned on making Chris breakfast in bed, but Eisley was having a rough morning...(so he got a belated breakfast in bed). Just to show how awesome he is, he made us breakfast instead that morning! Chris has been such a great father, he loves playing with Eisley when he gets home from work, and is very involved with helping me take care of her. We love you Chris! You are the best daddy in the world!

Memorial weekend

So i thought i would post a blog since i haven't in a while....This last weekend we went down to St. George for memorial weekend (and my birthday....my 29th the last one i will ever celebrate) it was our first family trip with little Eisley. We left around 4:30 when Chris got home from work, right before we left Eisley was being a little fussy and Chris happened to notice that Eisley was getting her two bottom teeth!!! Holy Crap she is only two months! My mom said that all of her kids started getting teeth at 4 months which is early....but geez! Everything that i have read said that it is very uncommon for babies to start teething that early. It explained a lot because she has not been feeling good and has been drooling a lot.......

Anyway...so we finally got on the road just in time for rush hour. We made it as far as springville and then Eisley got hungry... We stopped and i tried to feed Eisley in the car....She refused to nurse, and was completely inconsolable. Poor little girl was miserable. We did everything we could to try and comfort her....we were so close to just going back home but she finally calmed down and i was able to feed her. So an hour later we were back on the road. We made it as far as beaver and then Eisley was hungry again.....we didn't end up getting to St. George until like 11:30 at night. So the 4 hour trip took us seven dang hours! We figured that we should have just left around 7 or 8 (around her bedtime) and let her sleep the entire trip...we would have arrived at the same time anyway....so that is exactly what we did on the way home.....it was so much better.

We had a good time...went to lunch for my b-day and Chris got me my requested ice cream cake which was so delicious! Chris also got me a bath tub which he and his dad are going to install in our bathroom. I am so excited for baths! It will make it a lot easier with Eisley.....Anyway I will try to post pictures soon of Eisley's cute little teeth!!!!

Eisley's first Dr. Appointment

I can't believe my baby is 2 weeks old already! She is doing really well. She has gained one whole pound already...she is 8 lbs 5 oz now. She is in the 70th percentile for height and head size, and in the 40th percentile for weight. She is a long and lean little baby, but she is getting some chub on her face and thighs...its so cute!. I just love her so much! Here are her pictures from the doctor, and some other cute ones....

A Blog....finally!

I was having trouble getting all of my pictures onto my computer, and also finding the time to blog...who knew motherhood was so much work?? Just kidding....i knew it wasn't going to be easy but i love it! I love my cute little girl so much! So far she has actually been a really good baby. She doesn't cry too much....just sometimes when she gets her diaper changed and always when she gets a bath. Other than that she has been pretty good. She already sleeps up to four hour stretches at night.....I bet she would go longer but i wake her up to feed her. Anyway....here is the story of Eisley's delivery:

There i was miserable at one week over my due date. I was scheduled to get induced on Thursday night the twelfth. The plan was to stay overnight to get this pill (citotek?)put inside me to help my cervix soften and dilate, and then in the morning they would start the pitocin. The hospital was supposed to call me by three to let me know what time to come in on Thursday. We did not hear from the hospital so we gave them a call. They told us that they did not have any open rooms, but that some should be opening up and to call back at 5:00. (Which is the wrong thing to tell an anxious pregnant lady who is a week overdue who was told not to eat anything after 2:00pm..... to wait even longer!). We called back at five and were told to call back again at 7:30.....(by this time i was on the verge of tears)....We called back at 7:30.......and guess what? Yep, call back at 9:00 cuz they were unusually busy (I was cursing that i am the unluckiest person in the world!!!) So finally we call back at 9:00 and they tell us to come in at 11:00pm....(we were so tired!)

So we finally check into the hospital and they start my IV and give me the pill and we were off to sleep. A few hours later the nurse woke me to give me another pill. I went back to sleep and then started to get really bad cramps so i was given a shot of demerol...(yes in my bum). After that my doctor arrived at about 8 am. He went to check me, and then said "ok you are going to feel some fluid pouring out now"......i said "what! did you just break my water?" He forgot to mention that. Anyway....at that point i was only dilated to about a 1 1/2.

Then the nightmare began.......My contractions came on fast and intense 1 min apart. At first i was breathing good, and was trying to manage the pain, but after about 15 minutes i told Chris to get the anesthesiologist in there quick because i wanted the epidural!!!(and i wanted it NOW) So Chris gets the nurse and she lets us know that the anesthesiologist was called into an emergency procedure so it would be a little while. Well let me tell you....it seemed like an eternity! I felt like i was dying, it all seems like a really bad dream now, I was seriously partly in shock and was half in/half out of reality. (Chris can tell you some funny stories about how i was acting during this time)..I was given some pain medicine, but it didn't even make a slight bit of difference. So finally after an hour and a half of the contractions from hell, the anesthesiologist gave me the blessed epidural. He saved me! I didn't even care that a giant needle was being jabbed into my spine.

From that point on things went 100 percent better. I was eating ice chips and barely noticing my contractions. The nurse checked to see how i was progressing around 10:00 and i was dilated now to a three. She then checked me again just a few hours later, around 1:00...the look on her face was troubling....She looked at me and said "you are not going to believe this, but you are dilated to a ten!" She double checked and sure enough, much to everyones surprise it was time for me to start pushing. The nurse said for your first child it could take anywhere from one to three hours....and it only took me forty minutes! In fact we had to stop and wait for the doctor because i had pushed for twenty minutes and the baby was getting close...so when my doctor showed up i only pushed for twenty more minutes and Eisley was born! It was amazing! I think i was rewarded with a fast delivery since i went a week over...i had it coming.

Anyway, there is the whole story. Now we are just enjoying every minute with our sweet little girl! Here are some hospital pictures, and some cute ones that we have taken since....enjoy!

So we have been taking a child birth class and every week they make one of the guys wear the "sympathy belly" so that they can get a taste of what its like to be pregnant. (like they will ever be able to know what its like!) Chris may kill me if he sees this, but its so hilarious i just had to let you all see....enjoy

baby shower

I had my first of three baby showers yesterday. Im also having one in a couple of weeks that my sister in law is throwing for that side of the family. Also its pretty funny because Chris' work peeps are throwing us a shower, and im pretty sure my work isn't planning on doing one. Anyway it was really fun, and my baby is already a spoiled little girl! Here is a look at the mound of presents that i got! woo hoo! Showers are the best!

Our place finally coming together

So we were finally able to move into the in laws basement! For a couple of months we were living in a room upstairs with the family while most of our stuff was in storage. Lets just say it was a dark and dreary part of my life that really tested my patience. Im thinking God is trying to teach me a lesson on patience since im going to be a mamma soon. Im sure Im going to need a lot of it! Well here are some pictures of the new place.....All we need now is our kitchen sink and our washer and dryer....Im getting pretty anxious since baby is almost here! I didn't take a picture of our room cuz to be honest its a mess right now. Its hard working full time and being 8 mos pregnant, my cleaning has been slipping a bit.....

Christmas.....summed up

Geez i haven't blogged since thanksgiving! I have some catching up here to do......so i know Christmas was a long time ago but here is what went down:

Chris and I went down to my mom& step dads in St. George. We were hoping to escape to warmer weather but it was almost just as cold as Salt Lake and it actually snowed there one day. We had a good time hanging out with my family....we of course played some mean games of rummikub. To make things even better Chris suprised me with the best christmas gift ever! He made it sound like he didn't know what to get me, and we told each other that we weren't going to spend very much money.....so i was very surprised when i opened up my new iphone!!!! I was so shocked! Also i got a sewing machine from my mom, and a bunch of other cool stuff i wasn't expecting. I really got spoiled....I did pretty good with surprising Chris too. I got him rock band 2 ( he was suprised because im not a huge fan of video games). Anyway, i posted the first picture that i took with my beloved iphone on christmas day....I was really striking a pose!

Black Friday

So this was the first year that i have ever gone shopping the day after thanksgiving. Probably because i really like to sleep and can't handle getting up so early. This year i was after the cricut expression scrapbooking machine. They were on sale for a really good deal at Roberts. Chris and I woke up at 4 am so that we could get a good spot in line. We had a dilemma because we also wanted a dyson vaccum from target. Chris' sister was going to target so we gave her money to get us a dyson so we wouldn't have to risk the dyson's being gone after we had bought the cricut....anyway....it was really funny cuz we were there so early and i was so worried that we wouldn't get a good spot in line. When we got there, there were hardly any people there so we got a good spot (like 8th) in line. It was actually pretty exciting because the line got really long and we were some of the first people in the store and the people just poured in! We rushed to get the machine and it was crazy with how many people were scrambling for stuff! Although i was exhausted the rest of the weekend for waking up so early, I think i will be a lifelong black friday shopper. Even though i felt like a huge nerd in line at Roberts so early it was worth it! We got the cricut and the dyson so we were happy.

Thanksgiving

So this thanksgiving was spent at my in laws...aka my new home. Chris and I have been here since November first. We were planning on staying in this room that we are in for a couple of weeks until the basement was finished....the two weeks has turned into a whole month. I am trying to be patient but it is really difficult having all of our stuff in storage since we weren't planning on being with out it for this long. We are now hoping it's at least finished by Christmas cuz i am going nuts! Especially with a baby on the way, I am really wanting to make by baby "nest". Besides that it really hasn't been to bad living with the in laws. I really like Chris' family so it has been pretty fun. I posted some pictures from thanksgiving. Me being tired and pregnant, Cece and nephew Declan, Chris enjoying his pie.

The Dentist

So i have been having some tooth pain and was worried about dental work because i am pregnant. I made an appointment for a cleaning and let the people know that i was pregnant. They don't do x rays to be safe when you are pregnant, but the dentist looked at my teeth and could see a few places where i had old fillings that cracked. Needless to say i lucked out because i could get the dental work with out having to get x rays.

I went in today to get my fillings and for some reason the numbing shots were so painful! I was gripping the chair for dear life and i could feel my heart rate speed up. Usually im not such a baby! Im blaming pregnancy.....but it was so funny because every time the dentist used the noisy tools, i could feel the baby kicking like crazy. I think she hates the dentist already! She was trying to get the dentist to stop hurting me! Haha....thats what i think.

Chris' B-day!

So yesterday was Chris' Birthday and i got really lucky! One of my spa clients owns a hotel in park city, and hooked us up with a free stay! It's kind of a funny story....my client came in about a year ago around the time when my love life drama with Chris was going on. My client came in last week and said that she had been dying to hear the end of the story. She said that she had a gift card but was waiting until she could schedule with me (i don't work at the spa too often anymore). Anyway, I told her the happy ending of the story. She insisted that we come for a free stay at her hotel as a wedding/baby gift. What a sweet lady! It was a blast, it was a super nice place right on main street. We woke up this morning and it was snowing! It was a very magical birthday weekend. Also today is our one year engagement anniversary!!!

Good News!

I've been meaning to join this blog world for a while now. I thought today would be a good day to do it. Chris and I found out today that we are having a baby girl!!! Chris thought it was a girl all along...yes he must have the mother's intuition, not me! Anyway here are some pictures of our little alien....there is one of its head and belly, and one of between its legs...there is nothing there! Yeah! Now we can start buying stuff.......
